im a 14 year old teenage girl and im 5'9 and seriously need to slim down.
ive tried everything, running, eating right, diets, exersize, trainers, ALL OF IT. and nothing worked. now being a teen in this day and age is totally overrated, i mean i hardly get comments on my weight but i know it needs to change, and fast. all these girls are so tooth-picky and it makes me feel horrible. ive even resulted to starving myself. and at that point i realized this needed to stop and i had to do this the healthy way, my problem is, nothing works :l help me before i go insane?

it can be difficult to lose weight , especially if you are a teenager, and feel pressure from your peers.

but when you are going through puberty, and your hormones are adjusting as you grow, it can be a while before your body shaope settles down.

starving yourself certainly is not the answer.

what you have been doing is good. eat sensibly , not too much.
do excercise, and wait and see what happens over time .
sometimes weight doesnt come off easily, sometimes it goes on,
like during your menstrual cycle it can vary.

Without knowing your body weight, I am not sure if you are really overweight like you say you are. A lot has to do with body image and perception. I don't think tooth-picky or ultra thin is healthy either. So if you weight a little more than just being tooth-picky, I would say you are normal. Also, it is ok for a growing teenager to start packing some weight during puberty. An underactive thyroid, for example, can make losing weight difficult if not impossible. I suggest you consult with a doctor for answer.

You should seriously not be worrying about your weight at age 14 unless you are obese. But if you do intend on losing weight be sure to do it the healthy way. Energy/diet pills are not always the best solution. A great combination that works great with losing weight (and it's healthy) is to go to GNC and purchase Acai Berry capsules along with a recommended colan cleanser. Also include exercise and eating right. The lazy ways of losing weight aren't the best.
