Hi, it is certainly not a serious disease affecting the respiratory system, liver and lymphatic system. Frequent signs of mononucleosis include: fever, sore throat, appetite loss, fatigue, swollen lymph glands, and enlarged spleen. Sometimes, these patients also get liver enlargement and jaundice. Occasionally also headache is seen. Epstein-Barr virus is responsible for transmitting it from person to person by close contact. So, avoid kissing, sharing food or coughing with infected person.
