I have noticed for quite some time that what i think is my epididymis is a bit abnormal. located behind my left testicle, it feel like a soft bunched up tube that causes my sac to hang lower on that side. when i check it with my hands and couch it tenses up. i am not that worried because it doesn't hurt or anything but i don't know if i should get checked out or not.

another thing...

i don't know if this is related, but for a while now i have been having urination problems. when i go to pee, i never have a strong stream. it always sprays out. and when i am done, i have leakage for many minutes that eventually goes away. but these symptoms happen practically every time i pee. i thought it might of been bladder/ kiddney stones but i did a full flush and so now i know it can't be that. could it be weak nerves? or related to my epididymis?

please help. i would like to be able to pee normal again.

if u are confused by any of this please let me know and i will try to reword it.

thanks

Hi! You don’t have to rephrase your post because it is understandable.
In my point of view, these things are not connected and I don’t think you have a problem with epididymis. If you had a problem with epididymis (like an infection) you would DEFINITELY feel it and epididymis has nothing to do with urination, so your urination problem and epididymis are not connected.

Epididymis serves to store sperm for maturation before it is ejaculated and it is attached to the testicles and has no function in urination. It is normal for one testicle to hang lower, it is usually the left one. Every testicle tenses up upon stimulation (touch).

As for your urinary problem, you should see an urologist and have it checked to see what the problem may be.

Hi guys, Hope not too late to help. just found this site on google.I am now 50 years old and have suffered with slow trickly peeing since early twenties. Even had the camera etc in early 30's. By complete chance went to nutritionist for sports reasons and she recommended I eliminate, (not reduce,,,, ELIMINATE) WHEAT IN ANY FORM FROM MY DIET. Believe me I now have nearly twenty years of healthy flow, and if I have a sandwich because there is nothing else to eat, I get reduced flow, almost immediately. Effects can last from a few hours to couple of days. Hope this is helpful, good health!

DanDan has given you some excellent advice.

If you are having urination problems, you need to see a urologist. Start with your family doctor.

The epididymis is NOT involved in any of the functions you describe.
The raising or tensing of the testicles is a proper reaction and desirable. The doctor will check for this cremastory reflex. It shows good nerve connections.

The stream of urine can be impacted by dried semen in the meatus (hole in the end of the penis) that holds it partial shut like a garden hose spraying.

Good luck, and tell us what your doctor tells you.

D/Doctor I have a problem with my right Epididymis. It is inflamed two fold sac like mass. and it is more or less equal to right Testicle. Normally it is painless but when press at the base i feel slight pain. all other function with my sexual life is ok. But recently the mass is getting larger in size day by day. Consulting doctor suggested me to eleminate the mass through surgery. But i am afraid of surgery. your suggestion pl.for medication.

I keep seeing that urination has no impact or relation to the epididimys. But, my Dr. said that pressure from an extended bladder may cause backflow of urine into the vas deferens and ultimately the epididimys causing swelling and pain. Without blood panels and ultrasounds one will not know. I have been dealing with epididimytis recently, painful, but manageable. Get checked out!!! Best advice for anyone!!!

I thought it was nothing at first but then started getting stronger strains in the vein attached to my right testicle. Is this sounding like epididymis or could it be some form of infection?
