I know this was over a year ago but I'm 20 and you're describing what is happening to me exactly. Did you ever find out what this was? Did it go away? I'm sick of this weird feeling sending me to the toilet all the time!

i did some googling as to what this tingling is (i've been experiencing it within the last few days and its pretty annoying). After reading everything, from what i can gather its a form of "paresthesia". This website states that this could be caused from a number of reasons:
Diabetes
Peripheral artery disease
Peripheral neuropathy
Peripheral nerve trauma (see Nerve symptoms)
Peripheral nerve compression (see Nerve symptoms)
Sciatica
Vaginal infection
Cold
Cerebrovascular accident
Vulval injury
I have no idea if this is really the case, but it seems the most logical from what i have read so far. i do hope this goes away soon x.x its really annoying. Anyway. Goodluck! here's hoping we're all cured soon!

Ladies! It's called vaginal paresthesia, it's related to a sensory nerve being damaged, diseased, or injured. This can happen when you either apply too much pressure to a specific area of the nerve or it becomes entrapped, hence the pins and needles sensation. I would see your doctor if it continues but for the most part, it's nothing to worry about.

This may sound weird but I think i may be able to solve the case. MOST people said they have this on and off. USUALY people get it when watching or seeing something that gets you feeling very uncomfortable so i suggest the sulotion is not going to be easy

OMG! I can't believe I found this thread. I have exactly what you ladies are talking about. I feel better now I'm not crazy. This started a few days ago, I am having a lot of stress and anxiety lafely, I am 50 and in Perimenopause, and I take Tramadol periodically. I have also been walking our new dog for long walks lately and my lower back hurts. Could any or all of these be the cause?

Whoever posted about being related to nerve damage or a pinch, I think you are on to something. I used to get this every so often when I was younger and I just got it again after many years of not.

Back in the day, I thought it might be related to shaving my bikini area, but after a time I noticed it wasn't the shaving, but the shorts (cut-offs) I was wearing. I have bigger thighs, so the shorts would ride up and sometimes they would pinch in the crotch area. If I was riding in the car for a long time, for example, I'd end up with literal 'cootch-cutters' (sorry for the language!) And wouldn't you know it, the next 24-48 hours I'd have this maddening tingling "ants in your pants" sensation, even down my sciatic nerve of my leg.

Fast forward to the other night, I was at the movie theater, and right when the movie started, I noticed the leg band of my underwear was pulled up tightly because of how I'd sat down. I couldn't get up and fix it without a major production so I powered through it. BIG MISTAKE - last night and today I've got that creepy-crawly feeling again.

So - if you're wearing your pants too tight to where they're crawling up your hoo-ha, this might be what's causing the problem. I hope it helps!!
