I had almost exactly the same thing happen to me. I was able to ignore it all for years and could never connect all of my symptoms. Doctors diagnosed me with all types of things, but could never supply me with a cause. I figured it out for myself that it was Lyme and then demanded a test for it. Once the vaginal and vulvar pain started I couldn't ignore it any longer because it was so horrendous. My blood test came out positive for lyme, bartonella, and mycoplasma (all from ticks). I needed to get 4 different types of tests for each infection to pick the infection up in my blood and had to use a lab (IGeneX) that specialized in picking up these infections. No standard lyme test could pick it up in my blood. That's how well these infections hide in your body. Insurance will not pay for these tests so most people don't have a prayer of figuring out that they have lyme! It is unacceptable. No matter what doctors may diagnose you with, remember that most of these syndromes or diseases have no known cause. You have to find the root cause. Anyone with any chronic health issues needs to be tested exhaustively for Lyme and co-infections! It is the cause more often than not.

Actually for me, it only happens when I'm sleep at night and it wakes me up because it feels like something crawled into my vagina opening. The first time I felt it, I jumped up and looked under my covers and felt the inside and nothing. It happened again last night. Don't quite understand. Perhaps could be vaginal nerves.

The person was sexually assaulted and do not want to have sex. When this happens to her it reminds her of the assault.

I am experiencing the same issue. It doesn't hurt, it's just really bothersome. Mine comes and goes every few minutes and I feel it mostly in my labia and around the vaginal opening. Sometimes it almost tickles. Super annoying.

Sounds like persistent genital arousal disorder and you need to be checked out by doctor. How many times a day do you masturbate?

I get this because I have IBS but I think it’s also linked to nerves so check your spine because I also have a herniated disc in my lower back. Another reason might be fibroids or ovarian cysts.
