Hello, my mother is 67 years old and she had some heart issues that made her go to the cardiologist who told her that she has a heart fibrillation. Is that a life threatening condition? She has received some medications and that was it. I am just afraid that something unexpected might happen to her. Can you give me any info on this topic?

Heart fibrillation is a situation where the upper two chambers of the heart start working fast and irregularly. And that causes those heart problems you have mentioned. And the treatment depends on the current development phase of that condition. If only medicaments have been given, then she only has to follow the therapy and that’s all. In some cases, surgery is needed and sometimes this can go away on its own, although that does not happen very often.
