Hello,
My mum is 67 and was diagnosed with lung cancer. She smoked in her twenties, but “only” 10 years. When she had her first child, my brother, she stopped. Doctors leave her no more than 3 months, and advise chemo therapy, which might prolong her life for additional 3 months.
A simple question now, is chemo worth the try?

Hey there,
I am very sorry to hear for your mum. I understand your position, I lost my mother 2 years ago and now my brother is doing chemo.
Huh... every medal has two sides...
My mother lost most of her hair and was bed-ridden. She died very soon after diagnose. Different story is with my brother, he is physically much stronger and was earlier diagnosed. He is doing all right, loosing hair, but otherwise doing all right. There is still a chance... So, by my opinion, every try is worth it...
Good luck!
