I looked up something about acute retinal necrosis in my very dated medical encyclopaedia - I know, everyone uses the internet nowadays, but I like having something made of paper to look at - and it did mentioned links between acute retinal necrosis and herpes simplex type I. I always thought of that as such a harmless disease basically, and now I hear it can result in acute retinal necrosis??? Is this true?
