Actually this is not true. Some people men and women have an allergy to the proteins in semen, and the semen will act like a strong laxative and give you a case of the loose stools like you have never had in your life because of the bowel attracting water to try and flush out the offending material. Best to use the toilet after anal sex, and maybe even a small warm water enema to make sure its all out. Gay men will tell you about this, that a load of sperm up your butt, and you may be looking for a toilet every half hour for the next 2 days. The other side is potentially contracting an STD.

My personal experience is that if both partners are healthy and neither has any wounds or tears in anus/penis then it should not be dangerous to practice unprotected anal sex. Just remember to wash off the genitals afterwards to get rid of bacteria and possible poop. The anus has lots of bacteria.

By reading the comments, I see many posters still have some misconceptions. I not preaching when I say that the best ways to avoid pregnancy and std's is to abstain and if that dos not work use condoms, condoms, condoms. Anal sex can be fun and some people prefer it to vaginal sex, but if pre-cum and ejaculate get any where near the vagina then a pregnancy can possibly occur. People have to understand that ejaculate fluid contains many components. 

1. Semen is the fluid that carries the sperm to help in the creation of pregnancy.

2. Sperm is the other half to start the process of pregnancy.  

3. The most currant studies show, the sperm can live up to 5-7 days out side of the body/ so pulling out and shooting lose on your partners vagina still can result in becoming pregnant. Also, GUY's/ girls pay attention; pre-cum carries thousands if not more of sperm so the likely hood of of baby is very possible.   

As for anal sex or any sex  it has not been found that having sex causes cancer just the virus HPV which is shown to cause cervical/anal/ and oral.
