Mebendazole Over The Counter is generally considered safe for short-term use in treating parasitic infections such as roundworms, whipworms, and hookworms. However, its long-term use is not commonly recommended without medical supervision. Prolonged or repeated use may lead to mild side effects like abdominal pain, nausea, or rare liver function changes. In chronic or recurrent infections, doctors may prescribe extended therapy but monitor liver enzymes and blood counts regularly. Overall, when used as directed and under medical guidance, Mebendazole is effective and well-tolerated, but continuous or unnecessary use should be avoided to prevent resistance or potential toxicity.
