I occasionally fist my wife, if done correctly you can actually strengthen your muscles to the point that your ass is actually more tight. I do not know if there are studies but certainly I have fisted guys in their seventies and their arses seemed to be working fine.

I think it's always going to be largely anecdotal but a big dose of ignorance pervades this topic, even from doctors.

At the same time, I know plenty of doctors and nurses who enjoy fisting and arseplay too.
