Hi, folks. My wife has just given a birth to a wonderful baby. I think she has some milk problems, so she is thinking of giving him a formula. I would just want to know if there is a difference in baby stools between breastfeeding and drinking formula. Can anyone tell me this?

Hello. Taking formula instead of breastfeeding can bring some changes in stool. There can be change in color, consistency and number of stools. If you feed your baby with formula, you can expect green color of stool. Stools shouldn’t be hard from this. However, if they become hard and infrequent, you should consult a pediatrician. Feeding with bottle can sometimes be difficult for balancing. Ask for professional help if you need it. I hope everything will be all right. Bye!
