I've broken one of my gum teeth sometime last year.

I am at the moment in intense pain. The thing is, it's not my broken tooth that feels as though it's in pain.
All my top left teeth feel as though they're being electricuted, when it's my bottom tooth thats broken.My tongue feels as though it's been harpooned, and my throat is sore when I press it.
I took two 200mg Ibroprofen, and it hardly touched the pain, I took another one and the pain disappeared....for about 4 hours and then came back.
Mouth washes and salt water washers seem to cure it for about 20 minutes to help me get to sleep.

The thing is, this started quite mildly way back in late August. I could get rid of it by taking two pain killers at night, and it'd be gone for the next day.
Now it's as if the bodies getting immune to the pain killers and it takes up to 3 pain killers in one go, a mouth wash and ice pack on the jaw. Surely this can't just be because of a broken tooth. Like I said, the tooth doesn't actually feel as thoug.h it hurts
The pain went away for nearly two weeks, and then just suddenly returned
