I recently came across this white thing called tofu in walmart. It is a little square block and it does remind me somewhat of goats cheese. Please clear this mystery up for me, if you don't mind. What is tofu? Is this some kind of cheese? Is it tasty? I would appreciate some responses. Well, one response is really all it takes, unless you answer wrongly.

Tofu is basically coagulated soy milk with salts of various kinds. Some people refer to tofu as soy cheese, though strictly speaking this would not be accurate. Tofy has been been a staple of the Asian kitchen for well, forever, and it can be used pretty universally in almost everything. Besides, "crunchy" people like myself love tofu, which is particularly suitable for vegetarians.
