It does sound like a swollen lymph node, most likely caused by an ear infection. However, it could be something totally different. You should probably see a doctor.

Hello there,

Since you have you been sick lately it is possible that you have swollen lymph nodes as a consequence of that or your body is fighting remained infection and because they are located around your head this usually means that some throat or ear infection or even common cold is in question.

Have you drunk entire course of antibiotics? If you have stopped before you should it is possible that this is happening because of that. So, you need to go back to your doctor’s office to get a new prescription. Meanwhile, you can increase intake of fruits and even juices made from freshly squeezed fruits if your throat is sore. Although tea, especially chamomile, with honey is beneficial in more than one way. If you don’t get better in a few days consult your doctor immediately.
