this sounds to me like you have penile thrush, a yeast infection of the penis or male thrush, the end result is a painful penis. It is possible to can 'catch' a yeast infection of the penis through unprotected sex but then again you can be celibate and still develop penile thrush. Yeasts occur naturally in and on the body, but they only become a problem when they suddenly start to overgrow. The most common symptoms are redness and raised spots on the head of the penis or on the foreskin. There may be a discharge and some material may collect under the foreskin which looks a bit like cottage cheese and has a yeasty smell. The skin can become very, very itchy and there maybe a painful burning sensation when you pee. If you're confident that you do have thrush and buy some over the counter medication read the instruction carefully. On the capsules it usually says something on the lines that if they haven't worked after 7 days see your doctor, if this is the case then you need to bite the bullet and make an appointment.

I would avoid the soap as it interferes with the pH of the natural secretions. But I feel that you still have a yeast/fungal infection in the mucosa of the inner foreskin. The yoghurt suggestion was on the track, but it must be plain unsweetened yoghurt. I suggest you get a syringe and some Betadine antiseptic solution, use the syringe to flood the inside of the foreskin with the Betadine 3 times a day for 14 days. Use lanoline as a lubricant after each treatment and continue using it under the foreskin for a few months. If you use the strip-milk of a cow's teat as your preferred masturbation technique the lanoline makies the gliding very pleasant.

Natural Coconut oil works...just make sure you get a completely natural brand with no additives. They carry it at Whole Foods. Its $10 a jar but that is cheaper than doctor copays or OTC yeast infection meds. It causes the nucleus of the yeast cell to explode. Helps the itch from the dry skin too. Even smells nice. Just make sure you are not allergic to coconuts first.

Something else to think about too is any changes to your diet. If you have recently started drinking liquids in large quantities and start developing signs of a yeast infection around your foreskin and are peeing a LOT go to the doctor and have them test you for diabeties. I started doing that and found out I was type II diabetic.

Vinegar on a paper towel or napkin applied to the affected areas will change the ph of the area and the itching will stop. It works.

For the itchy foreskin, I used peroxide to clean it up and did not dry the peroxide off. Within 12 hours I noticed the difference and the itchiness did not come back.

im really scared i have also got little white dots round the bottom of the penis i wash it veery day and night but it seems not 2 go away? whatcan i use for his 2 go away and is hain a spotty penis normal? people have od me its the hair roots if you could giv me more infomation would be very helpful

Careful, mate. That sounds like pearly penile papules(PPP), or the fatty deposits in the hair follicles of your genitals. If this is the case, they are PERFECTLY NORMAL, and they used to worry me too. About 30% of men have PPPs, and if you don't know what they are, they can be quite worrisome. Now, if what you're talking about are on the base of your penis, check to see if they have hairs growing from them.

I had similar problems with an itchy foreskin and white spots around my penis but I just went to my local doctor and he prescribed me with one tablet (not sure what it was) and a cream called daktacort that I had to apply three times daily. Along with his advice to constantly wash my penis with no soap the main part of the infection along with the itching and white dots was gone in about 3 days but kept using it for a week to make sure. Anyway my advice is to just see your doctor.

Hi guys

I have exactly same problem, around the heard of my penis, there seem to be a lot of white dots and sometime it can be very itchy. I was it in the bathroom every day and the itchy stop but the white dot is still there. I went to family doctor and he said he 'THINK' it fungus. I was given Daktarin cream as a treatment.

I have been using this cream for about 2 weeks now but nothing changed. I have seen someone post here that they use Lamisil to treat this problem and its gone. I want to ask is this true so I can get one as well?i am really worry and this is very annoying. Also does this problem spread as I regular have sex with my partner without condom?
