mmh, my scrotum is very itchy as well from time to time.

I have gone to a dermatolgist and I have two sebacious cysts on my scorutm. They are red bumps with smooth domes. This is a pore that is clogged, and your skin keeps building oils and it forms a cyst. It can be cut out and removed.

After doing research im thinking this is normal, and caused by hormones and such.

I've quoted your post so that we all know what I'm responding to.

First, I'd NEVER use HOT water to treat a possible infection site, other than to clean it initially. If this is an STD, especially herpes or cold sore, you'll aggravate it. You mention that you've picked something up from drinking. It's possible that your body is reacting to this fight, and that what you need is an antihistimine. That will block the alergic reaction.

I have no doubt that the cold water might soothe you for a bit.

But ultimately, you need to see a doctor, so he can see this reacting scrotum skin for himself.

You laugh when you say no doctor will see your balls.... so I guess you like feeling this way, huh?

Get over your shyness and get to a doctor. Be up front with him and he'll be up front with you.

Don't forget, he's seen it all before!

OK I've been having a problem sort of like this for almost a year now. I'm a 20 y.o. male, not particularly athletic, not currently sexually active.

My scrotum becomes EXTREMELY itchy off and on during the day, more often in the morning and the most at night. When I itch it the patches where it feels like the itch is originating from feel very wet like they're bleeding or puss is coming out of them.

When the spots heal flaky skin grows over them which comes off easily and gives way to fresh spots. This may be because its difficult to let them heal fully without itching but I feel as if that may not help.

I use bar soap, not sure what kind, whatever is in the bathroom. Also, a funky odor is present. Mostly just sweaty and moist smelling but slightly sour, if that makes sense. Its definitely not an STD, but I don't have health insurance and can't really afford to just go see a doctor and pay for expensive medication, so I don't know what to do.

I'm transferring to a 4 year college in January and would really like to knock this thing out before I'm off on my own and in the position possibly display my scrotum (you get it) when the opportunity presents itself.

HELP PLEASE!

I experienced this. Tried alot of over the counter stuff. It would come and go, same thing many of you are going through or have gone through. Eventually I had enough, went to the doctor and it turns out it was some type of yeast infection. I never would have imagined it. Doctor prescribed a steroid cream that also takes care of the fungal/yeast infection and it cleared up after a week or so. The hardest part was getting the courage to goto the doctor.

As was suggested the yeast infection creams for women would probably work as they seem to be the same ingredient, minus the steroid.

Are you an office worker like me who sits for 10-12 hours per day? Do you have an itchy scrotum, between legs or testicals and anus? Do you need to scratch especially after temperature changes like standing up after being sitted for hours or after taking a shower? Yet you are 100% sure it has nothing to do with sexually transmitted sources? Is your scrotum or testicals is more affected from its left side because your computer is setup on the left side of your desk (the scrotum touches the left leg and creates more swetting or it it affected more from the right side and your desktop is on the right side of the desk? Does the relief come only after vigorously scraching damaging the skin of testicals or the scrotum and getting that smelly colorless liquid or even some blood? Do you feel better when it is cold down there? MOST LIKELY YOU HAVE A FUNGAL INFECTION. HERE IS HOW I TOOK CARE OF MY OWN PROBLEM. I went to our local Rite Aid pharmacy and WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION asked for an antifungal cream sometimes called Athlete's Foot Cream. It is Clotrimasole 1% anti-fungal cream. Twice a day, on mornings and in the evenings, I washed my bottom 5 or 6 times with with plain soap (you need to wash many times so that the dead fungus can be removed easily. I purchased the cheapest hair drier for $20 and every time after the shower I completely dryed the scrotum or testicles, between the legs and the anus. I applied a very thin layer of the cream and went to bed without any underwere to enhance circulation of air. I stopped being sitted for long time. I put my printer at the end of the office so I walk to get the printed stuff every time, so that every time I induce circulation of colder air. When I need to sit, I sit on the edge of the chair with widely open legs again for the air circulation. The results are fantastic. It's gone completely. Good luck!

The bumps could be an STD or they could be something called forcyde bumps. Forcyde bumps are very common among younger guys (12-21) and all they are, is just the oil glands along the shaft and scrotum showing up do to recent changes in hormones int he body. In fact, most guys I know have it, and its completely normal. But always go to a doctor to get it checked, because I could be something a lot more serious.....remember, herpes is for life maaaaannnn.....

The lumps found on/around your scrotum and shaft are entirely normal, they are simply hair follicles or sweat glands. Occasionally they may be found around the circumference of the tip, and yes, they are completely normal. Now what miffs me is an intermittent itch that ranges from my scrotum to my shaft and is random for the most part. I believe strongly that riding a street bike every day and having that area of my buddy constantly cramped and irritated probably has something to do with it, but I am still unsure. Big red bumps can sometimes be infected hair follicles and/or clogged epidermal glands, so don't panic before you receive a reliable diagnosis. Sorry I don't have more information on your itch.

Hi guys,

I too have suffered from this itchy scrotum for about 10 months now. After looking it up on the internet I thought it might be jock itch or crabs. But I had no visual symptoms shown. The only rashes I had were the ones I made due to scratching. After talking to many friends, it turns out I wasn't the only one. Many of my friends have this sort of issue one time or another. The only catch is, they only had it for a few weeks and only used normal baby powered to resolve it. They still say that it sometimes comes back one time or another but, maybe once or twice a year for a few weeks.

I finally decided to goto my local dermatologist 2 weeks ago. After a 1 min look at it, I was told it wasn't a fungus nor yeast infection. I just happen to sweat a lot down there. I was told to just powered it down everyday and he got me a cream that reads, "Clotrimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate Cream - USP,1% /0.05%" Which can be bought at your nearest pharmacy / CVS ..etc (with a doctors note) The cream is only about 14 dollars. (i bought 2) He told me to only use it when it itches. It turns out, this itchy scrotum issue is not uncommon. Depending on the person, it comes and goes, other might live with it for a long long time. For those who do live with it for a long long time, we need to do something about it.

I normally didn't itch all day long. Mainly before I go to sleep (i wake up in the middle of the night, scratching my scrotum ) or when I drink beer.

Anywhos, since i was told it is a sweat issue and the more I scratch it, the more itchy it will get, I decided to put deodorant on my inner thighs and under my scrotum. At night when it starts to itch, I use the cream. (which works better then ANYTHING i've tried. and I've tried EVERYTHING suggested written on this forum. )

After 2 days, It totally went away.... I've only applied the cream twice. I still have like 98% left and another one which hasn't even been open. Today is day 14 and no itch down there. Since I was told to only use the cream when it itches, the only thing I do every morning after I take a shower is put deodorant down there. (i use right guard sports stick) which is what i normally use.. I don't even use power.

I don't know if this will help anyone out there but, it sure as hell helped me. I might be posting this to soon but, I wanted to put in my feed back for people that maybe going crazy over this. Just putting deodorant down there every morning is a small price to pay..

I developed peeling/ red / itchy skin on my scrotum and it got to the point where it hurt just walking around. I tried using neosporin, aloe vera w/ lidocane, and that made it worse. It was around the time I started running a lot, so a friend suggested glide stick balm to stop chafing. That made it just as bad as the former applications. DO NOT USE ANYTHING TO MOISTEN THE AREA! I started using jock itch powder spray (if the foot spray is cheaper, use that cause its the same ingredients). That helped but what really has begun to do the trick is the plain brown listerine and apple cider vinegar. I use both several times a day. I use listerine after ACV if I don't want a lingering smell and I use ACV after listerine if I know I'm going to be home all night. The ACV turns the affected area white, and yes it will BURN, and may even bleed or scab over, but once this happened NO MORE ITCHING and everything has healed up fine. The affected area has shrunk. I've been doing this for close to a month but it looks like another week or so and I'll be all clear. BTW I follow up after each cleaning with some jock itch / athlete's foot spray poweder to help keep dry. It's worth the minute of burning to stop a day and night of itching and pain.

Had similar issues over the past 6-8 months. Tried a bunch of jock itch creams and sprays, nothing seemed to work. Did some research and found out that I may have had a male yeast infection. I had some symptoms such as bad breath and lots of farting that have been increasingly worse over the past few years. I finally read that beer drinkers are more prone to it due to all the yeast, and I do drink quite a bit of beer, bottle fermented ones as well.

Before going to the doctor, I decided to try a natural cure, namely consuming and applying virgin cold pressed coconut oil. Though it sounded a bit "hippyish", I preferred that option than having the doc play with my sack and perscribe some female cure.

To my surprise, the coconut oil worked like a charm. The symptoms were a lot less severe after the the first few days, just about completely gone after about 2-3 weeks. However, after a few days of binge beer drinking, they started to return, so it seems that even though my symptoms are gone, I may still have too much yeast in me. I believe the correct term is candida.

Basically, I consume 3-4 spoons of coconut oil everyday, usually after meals. If ever I feel an itch, I'll apply some externally as well, usually does the trick within a couple minutes. Coconut oil is safe, healthy, and a heck of a lot cheaper than drugs. Be sure to get virgin cold pressed, not the extruded one. Should be able to find it at your local health food store.

Has the washing powder you usually use been changed recently? That may be the cause.

wash your nuts well and stop playing with your self and in 18 - 24 months you should be ok. if not you may need to reduce scrotum size using a sharp

scalpel, razor blade or alternatively a broken bottle. all the best with your soon to be gone problem.
