A high percentage of such skin irritations are fungal.
Human skin likes to be slightly acidic. This is regulated with the slightly acidic human sweat. Just taste your skin after your sweat has dried to check.
Funghi dont like acidic environments, looove slightly alkaline environments. Funghi must also have a humid environment. Skin that has soap rests or rub against underwear with soap rests, skin that stays humid, are in danger of fungal attacks.
A very simple remedy is to ensure slight acidity at the spot that is attacked. Drip some lemon juice into your palm, dip a finger into the lemon juice, touch slightly the skin areas that are affected by funghi. Touch also the part of the underwear in contact with that area.
If the skin is already damaged lemon juice might hurt. Check with a doctor.
If it IS a fungal irritation (there are many other less likely problems with similar symptoms), if you are not too late with this remedy, and do not overdo the acidity, you should get almost instant relief.
Prevent such things in the future by keeping the skin dry, and rinsing well when contaminated with alkaline substances (soaps, and ash mainly). Some even advocate a final rinse with for ex. just a little vinegar in the final rinse (it is supposed to ensure shine in the hair).
