IUD - Nova T - no period for 3 months and not pregnant

Wow, not sure but am trying to get info on the Nova T myself. I got mine inserted in Aug 08. I was due for a period the end of last month, am spotting now, but still no period. Hoping it is late and on it's way any day now. What are the chances of getting pregnant with it in? The string on mine are quite long, but have always been, but I sometimes think they are longer at times, and then they go back shorter. I hope the chances of pregnancy are slim, but will look around to see if anyone else has posted anythng bad on the Nova-T. %-)

Hi, I am looking for information to on the Nova-t. I will have had it in me for almost 2 years in August. I get usually heavy and longer periods than I use to, without the IUD in. I had my last period the end of Dec., and now am spotting for four days. It is brownish and light red at times..very little though, so not my period. I thought after the first day it would show up, but now I see it is not going to be that way after all...well so far. I have tender breasts and have been feeling really tired this last month. I don't know if pregnancy is possible, but see a forum on the Mirena, and lots of woman there seem to have gotten pregnant while on that...so what makes Nova-T(minus the hormones) so different. I am so scared, so I booked an appointment earlier for a repap and preg test. Any info or anyone with feed back on how they are doing with the same situation would be greatly appreciated. I will surely keep u posted. :-) My strings are also longer it seems, but as the above woman posted, I think they get shorter during different times of my cycle and get shorter again.....I am not sure. Hope for the best and I pray all is okay.
