This pain happens only when I am eating and drinking. If i have a drink with food, and then have another drink 30 min after eating the pain is intensified. I am not sure eating is a solution, for me, because that is the time the pain happens.

I have this same jaw pain when I rarely drink alcohol and I am allergic to sulfa drugs. The most recent time I had a drink it was a margarita, which contains tequila. Don't know if tequila has sulfites, but I think I'll look it up.

I get this and thought it was normal . - but I get it more as I get older. I do have allergies. I have a sore throat all the time too & swolen tonsils. And now I also have developed all the symptoms of CFS and tollerate alcohol even less. Which is a shame cos I never drank much but a little drink is nice once in a while..

I have noticed with one particular beer but no other beer or alcohol. I do have an allergy to sulfa drugs since I was young. No more of that beer for me! -.- Thank you for the info! Makes total sense to me!

I went on a drinking bender the other night (something that is rare for me), and I woke up with a sore jaw right under both ears. I decided to dig around and see if anyone else experiences this and found your response here. Did you come to any conclusions?

This happens to me too and it's only when I drink beer - no other alcohol. I do have a mild gluten sensitivity so I've been wondering if it's gluten-related?

This also happens to me, but only after using cannabis in conjunction with beer. I'm a VERY light drinker and a moderate cannabis user.
I can't tolerate hard alcohol, so I stick to craft beers. Typically after the first beer my jaw muscles start hurting and tingling. This only started happening within the last few months. More reason not to drink alcohol I suppose.
