Thats not it. It has nothing to do with nasal mucus!

It could just be hemroids. If you are constipated.. or pushing a lot.. you will get heroics and they sometimes bleed.

Hello,
I've been having similar blood discharge bright red for the past 7 weeks. I consulted and was told that it wasn't hemoroids and currently waiting for a colonoscopy.
I realized that I only see blood with or without stools ONLY when I pass gas.
If I have a stool with no gas there will be no blood.

One thing is for sure you have inflammation which is why your body is secreting a excess amount of mucous that is visible to the naked eye to protect. Small amounds of mucus are normal or food to pass but to be that visible that it's coming out on its own something is going on. Possible causes are proctitis (patchy imflammation of the anus and sigmoid), ulcerative colitis, crohns, bacterial intections, food poisoning, or parasitic infection. It's best to figure out why! I'd recommend a ova and paraside stool test x3 and culture stool test x3 along with at least a sigmoidoscopy and blood work including a full Iga, Igg panel. Sounds like a parasitic infection to me, especially if your eating raw meet like that, the harmful bacteria and pathogens are not being killed off by high temperatures when cooked. People with autoimmune disorders OR people who take antibiotics are at higher risks for of intections! You should try to take some probiotics or at least 50 billion counts per capsale per day, also one that has at least 5-10 different strains. Another reallllly amazing probiotic is Sacchromyces Boulardii by Florastor. The probiotics will help to defend your body, boost your immunity, and fend off bad bacteria and infections and give your body good colonies, it's a good second line of defense. Try drinking 2-8oz a day or aloe vera juice only the inner fillet part, a good brands Lily of the Desert. This will help coat, heal, and sooth the intestines, stomach and bowls ( some people do enamas too with aloe for colitis to sooth and heal) . Gooodluck to everyone!

It's an infection. Most likely sexually transmitted or from bacteria entering anus somehow. Get tested

Did you find out what this is? I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis about five years ago. I was treated with Mesalamine and had colon scopes every six months for two years. The IC went into remission for about a year. It seem to be back but I haven't been to my gastro yet. I have random bouts of passing bright red blood clots accompanied with a clear, yellowish, sticky goo. I am going back to my gastro as soon as I can get an appointment.

from what I understand mucus while passing gas or going to the bathrrom happens because the lining of the large intestines are irritated. This could come from anal sex, irrititable bowel syndrome, or possibly dietary choices. The blood could come from anal sex but i would be concerned if you havent done anything like that and are seeing blood. You should probably see a doctor just in case but I know many people who get a mucus discharge during irritable bowel flare ups or after anal penetration.
