Same story as many others on here. Pain in the right, middle back area every single morning. It usually completely goes away within 10 mins after getting out of bed.

I'm a 26 yr old male. For the past two months i've had the same thing as many people here. I was surprised to find so many people with the same issue. The right side around my kidney wakes me up around 4-5 in the morning, its more reliable then the mayan calendar. I then normally wake up, sit and wait for the pain to pass by. I also found another forum where people who smoked cannabis such as myself have experienced the same. Now correlation is not causation but does anyone else here smoke cannabis?

Just to add I had a urine test and ultra sound. They found nothing abnormal

Hi Guys. I had the same issue my entire life. I still get it when ever I consume caffeine. Caffeine makes your system drain water constantly even while you are trying to sleep. I detoxed and completely cut out caffeine. The pain is gone. I have tested this numerous times, if I just have one glass of Coke for example my kidneys will pain when I lie down. From Peter

Detox and leave caffeine for good

That's because they consider caffeine to be normal

It's not the weed, it's caffeine. Cut it out completely

I'm 22 years old, I sleep on my stomach and I only get the pain AFTER I urinate in the middle of the night. I return to bed with both kidneys screaming in pain, after I get up for 10 20 minutes the pain dissipates. Very unusual

Ron..
Hello everybody...
Hope we all find out why this kidney pain occurs to us ,, im also surprised to know there are other people experiancing the same symptoms without any or the right diagnose and treatment from the Drs...here are my symptoms:
Pain in both sides kidneys & muscles after sleeping 5 hrs or more & keeps getting worse the more i sleep with frequent uriniation all night ....after i urinate the pain feels a little better which makes me fall asleep again but without disappearing and then withing an hr or so pain wakes me up again and feeling that i need to urinate....i keep getting up all night back n forth to urinate in small amounts with pain in my kidneys.....elivating my body in bed seems to help and reduce the pain but it doesnt take it away unless i really get up n stand .....this has been going on for over 10 years ,, its on n off though not constantly all those years its kind of goes away for month sometimes......i went to drs , took meds for kidney stones , urinary tract infection , but it never went away for good !! I dont drink too much water everyday but when the pain sarts occuring i start drinkin more water but it doesnt take the pain away....i also stop coffee but still no results ....
I also thought maybe its too much uric acid so i took meds for illiminating uric acid it also never took away the problem......so all where temporary mesures that may have helped a little but the pain seems to always come back n stays for few weeks or month than gows away then hits back again....
Im not sure what is the major problem...but to share a little about me : i sweat a lot, i take nexium & reglan for GERD , i drink coffee but only in the morning n not everyday , i take supplements n vitamins on n off, i stress a lot , my sleep patterns r not stable...
So plz if somebody got the right treatment or did anything n got better plz reply to us on our posts bec it seems Drs really dont know why or whats going on , they only try whats out there of meds according to symptoms but a lot of diseases nowadays have common symptoms n i understand its confusing unless ct scans , mris or any other tests really showed the root of the problem its too hard to treat an unknown medical condition ...so they only treat symptoms instead!!:(

I'm hoping to find a solution to this problem also , I wake up at 4 every morning usually with the pain on my right side but I have to sleep on my back because of an unrelated surgery and now the pain is on both sides every morning
I have heard that organic Apple cider vinegar helps with uric acid , so I will try a teaspoon a day and see if that helps , good luck everyone
