large lump neck in child

So you have checked with your pediatrician about this lump. He gave you antibiotics? And what did he said about the diagnosis? Is it some type of infection or something else?

In my opinion it is probably a lymph node and if it is movable that is good. My oldest daughter had to have one removed because it wouldn't go down but in the end everything turned out fine. My younger daughter has them frequently. But she does have a lot of allergy issues and I am not sure if that contributes or not. My pediatrician just comments that he has a thin neck and that we wouldn't even notice them if he was heavier. I freaked out when first started noticing them but now I am used to it.
