When did you start yours? The first few years are very random. It'll happen some months and then it won't. I've skipped mine for 2 months in a row.

It is totally your cervix. The hole you feel in the middle is where your period comes out. That same hole will become enlarged big enough for a baby to come out in the hours before birth.
