I am 31 years old and a mother of a 3 1/2 year old. I was taking Triphasil for years and then two months ago the doctor switched me to Low Estrogen 28 (don't know the name brand). Well I am now 7 days late for my period. I have taken 3 at home pregnacy tests and they all came back negative. Could the new pill affected my period? I don't have any signs of pregnancy except for being tired (but I work full time, full time mom, full time wife and part time college student---tired is to be expected). Any advice? Is it possible to take a PT too early at home even though it says you can take at first day of missed period? I was always a regular started, but now I don't know because of these new pills. I have missed pills throughout the month and would have to double up on them.

A pregnancy test is accurate when you miss a period.
Being on the pill causes many women to have a lighter than normal period, and some women will miss a period, but this is normal. If you have any symptoms of pregnancy you should consider a blood pregnancy test.

I just am going to the doctor today for a blood test. I am sick of waiting to know if I am. I am not used to being late. I will keep you informed. Thanks for your advice.
