Thought I'd shed some light on the topic
I took the morning after pill (ellaone) at the beginning of July, due to condom breakage. The week that I took the pill was the week that I was ovulating (took pill on Tues, ovulated on Friday).
That month I had my period one day later than usual, it seemed normal but I took a test to be sure, which was negative. I carried on as normal.
However, when the 2nd period after was due - nothing. I've NEVER missed a period and never had one over a day late. I'm incredibly regular so when it didn't show I obviously thought the worst. I gave it 4 days before taking a test. This too was negative.
I had a doctors appointment scheduled to do a blood test & find out why I'm late.
However - my period showed up a week late from when it was due.
So just be patient! But be sure to take a test, just so you know you're not pregnant.

This happened to me too. I took the morning after pill about 8 hours following unprotected sex and then got my period in the following few days. My next period was due and did not start for about a week after expected but I did get my period today, so apparently this is pretty common! I did take a pregnancy test to be sure and it was negative.

Hey guys! I thought i'd post in case any girls were wondering becuase I was just in the same situation reading these...
I took plan b on Nov. 11th and 5 days later (the 16th) i got my "period" for 3 days even though it was 1.5 weeks early. Flash forward to day, I finally got my period on Dec. 18th, 2 days late.
So don't freak out if it is a little late the second month! it's because of plan b! Hope this helps

Hi ladies,
Well this is my story, I have taken Levonelle about four time this year (stupid I know). Well I took one end of November and my periods came a week earlier in December (4th) and lasted for two weeks. I have a 23 day cycle so was expecting my period according to my app on the 29th December - I am still waiting. I have had all the symptoms of periods / pregnancy including an extremely increased appetite. I have also experienced mood swings. Well today I spent a great deal of time researching the hormone Levonorgestrel which is contained in Levoelle which I was prescribed, well firstly that little pill contains 10 times the normal dose of an everyday pill such a Microgynon! In addition I was once on Mirena and it caused me to have the very same symptoms I have mentioned above and a lack of periods. I figure that due to this being the same hormone in the Mirena coil which stops women from having their periods, in my case because I have taken this very high dosage about four times in a space of 6-7 months then this has truly messed up my system. My body probably thinks I have this coil.. Today I do not feel as bloated as I hav felt since I took the pill, my increased appetite is much better so hopefully the hormone is now leaving my blood stream. I was so convinced i was pregnant and have so far done four HPT which are all negative. I have three kids and each time whenI have been pregnant I have tested positive before I have even missed my periods. I am now 7 days late. Will keep you posted when they do decide to arrive but knowing me it might be a while as I always have adverse reactions to things. I read on another thread a lady whose periods were delayed by 56 day

I had pull-out method sex on Nov 24th and took Plan B two days after. I had my next period as normal but the cramps were worse than usual. Then I had pull-out method sex (stupid, I know, I'm killing myself for it) right after my period ended on the 6th and 7th and 9th. My period due on Jan 2 is six days late so far.
I'm really hoping its becaues of Plan B and am going to take a test tomorrow morning, but I really cannot be pregnant :( :( Super scared!!! But reading this thread has been more reassuring because I have literally been freaking out for days....

I have taken the MAP twice. Once several years ago and also a few months ago.
Both times I got my next period/bleeding early, soon after I took the pill. Say about a week later.
Then my second period came late anywhere from one to two weeks late, and was significantly lighter.
My nurse told me that all of this can be due to the fact that the pills hormones can affect subsequent ovulation and since we often ovulate from alternating sides every month it can take a few months for your body to get back on track. Also, it can be that the initial "period" or bleeding is only a symptom of the MAP and then your body just takes a while to start your true period again.
If your test is negative after a missed period, you are probably not pregnant.
