late second period after taking morning after pill. questioning pregnancy.

I'm experiencing the same thing. After taking the plan b my period was late 17 days. I haven't had it at all this month yet which I should have started on Oct 20th. Pregnancy test says negative. Very confused.

Wondering if everyone ended up getting their periods or if anyone was pregnant. I took the map within 24 hours of unprotected sex and I'm now 3 weeks late for my period : 3 pregnancy tests have all come back neg.

Hello, I've recently been experiencing the same thing as most of you ladies. I had unprotected sex Sep. 20th, took plan B within less than 48 hours. Started my new period Sep. 23 it lasted for about 7-9 days, heavier than normal. Now it's November 5th and I still have not received my second period. I took a HPT today, thankfully if said I was not pregnant. It's just waiting for my period that is making me very anxious. I have read that Plan B affected some women to miss an entire period. So let's pray for the best for all of us, and I will keep you posted!

Once I took it, got my period about a week later then my second period after was quite late, 43 days from the start of the previous period. Stress does affect your cycle so try not to worry... If you start having other symptoms like morning sickness, weight gain & tender breasts, skip the home test and go to your doctor (I had 2 false negatives from home tests once - this however was the one time I wasn't on any birth control and didn't take Plan B). I'm still waiting for my second period after taking Plan B and am at day 38, but the test I just did was negative.

Hello! Did you ever get your period? I'm currently 24 days late since my last "period". I took the emergency contraceptive dec. 7th and got my fake period a week later. Now waiting for my second period and it hasn't come. I missed January's period completely and today is feb 1st! :( I've taken one pregnancy test and it came negative. I've been having protected sex since taking the plan b pill but I'm still worried.... You never know when you become to rare cases that still get pregnant with condoms!

Hello, unfortunately I don't think I'm going to be particularly helpful however as you posted only yesterday I felt the need to reply as I am in the same predicament.

I am however only two days late for my period yet still concerned as this is the first time I have taken the morning after pill. I had my 'fake period' two weeks after taking the pill and now I'm awaiting my second period. I have a consultation on Monday 9th Feb. regarding the coil, there I will be tested for any concerning issues so I am also awaiting that.

I too highly doubt I am pregnant, there is virtually no possibility however just like you, I overthink and wonder if I'm some unusual case that has become pregnant with condoms.

I will make a point to report back with when/if my period arrives and how my tests next Monday go.

please keep updating if you get period! Same issue for me. Condom had hole in it :( took map within an hour, Negative preg test but 5 weeks late after "fake period" have three kids so i know about preg symptoms but am so anxious!

Hey girls,

I went crazy reading through all these forums because I was going through the same situation and needed advice - I'm hoping that my answer will help some of you out there who are probably freaking out. I had unprotected sex and took the morning after pill within 12 hours. I had my next period a bit later but not too different (I'm irregular so couldn't see any major differences). Thinking I was fine, I paitently waited for my next period - but come day 35 it still hadnt arrived. I started to stress EPICLY (as you do) and built up the courage to buy a pregnancy test (IT IS SCARY AND IF YOU CAN ASK A FRIEND TO GO WITH YOU), I took the test it was NEGATIVE - phewwww right? That didn't stop my anxiety though, I started reading about likelihood of the test being inaccurate and by day 45 late of my period I decided to see a doctor. They gave me a blood test because it is a lot more sensitve to HCG in your body than the urine tests you take at the shops. It also came back negative. It's now day 50 and I still haven't had my period but I feel a lot better after seeking professional help. WHICH IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IF YOU'RE READING THIS, you owe it to yourself and the sooner you know the sooner you can make a decsion about your situation. My Doctor also said that the morining after pill stuffs up your regualr cycle because it is preventing ovulation and it is normal to see changes to your period despite what they tell you on the info leaflet. PLEASE DON'T WORRY YOU'RE PROBABLY FINE, but it's good to double check.

hello. I completely forgot about this post as i had used an old email account... My apologies ladies. I did get my period. It ended up being 44 days between periods. It did take about 3 periods before I was back to a somewhat "normal" period again. But that being said, I no longer get my period on the same day like clockwork. Back in the day I used to get it every 33 days. Even when I went on birth control for years, I would go off of it and by my second period I would have that same cycle again. well, now since taking Plan B I have yet to have a normal period. I've had them as short as 24 day cycle, and the longest I believe was 29 days. Until now. I actually am not sure how many days it's been because I forgot to keep track on May. I know April was 4th so I assume it'll be here soon (hopefully - I doubt I would be pregnant though since i haven't had sex since March).. What I have done to ease my mind is bought a 4-pack of Clear Blue pregnancy tests from Costco. I always read good reviews and most women I know swear by them. I will never use a cheap, store-brand test again since having those two false negatives 7 years ago. I recommend anyone having concerns, do the same, buy a multi-pack so it doesn't matter if you waste one or two of them, and then go to the doctor if too much time passes. Remember, don't use it as birth control, as it totally can't be good for us if it affects so many women so negatively but use it for what it was intended and Good luck!

OMG This is happening to me right now! did it ever come? i took the pill on march 5, and pd came march 12 lasted about 5 - 6 days. missed my pd for may. and here i am on june 10 waiting for my pd. i have no took tests. but i am so worried... plan to take a test if i dont get my pd soon.

Im in the same situation. I took the map and got a period a week later but my second period hasn't shown and it's been 42 days since my last period. I've taken five tests, 4 first response, one clearblue digital the last one taken yesterday and they've all been negative. I'm losing my mind but keep telling myself if I were 7 weeks pregnant it would surely show on an hpt because with my daughter I showed before I missed my first period.
