2 and half years ago I was in Car accident and had a severe head trauma. Since then my ears leak up sporatically with clear fluid. Not tons but mostly when I have a seizure or when I cry. I've told my ENT this and my neurologist and they've come up at a loss as to what  it is. They said that my ct scan and MRI  don't indicate a fracture and so they don't think it is CSF  however none of them have been willing to even test the fluid to find out. Instead my neurologist told me to use a glucose metre and test the fluid to make sure that there are no sugars in it. If there are sugars I am supposed to get back to them right away as it would be CSF and they will have to do surgery.  Again I am not sure why none of them are doing this test themselves. I feel like it is a liability issue amongst their profession. In the sense that if nobody has published a medical review of it, it doesn't exist and they can't comment on it. If you've seen the recent movie Concussion you may understand what I mean.  If anybody has any insight I would love to hear.
