Hi everyone, Since I’ve been using the inhaler Fluticort F (6 mcg/250 mcg) for more than six months now, I thought I’d share my observations and invite feedback from others using it long-term. According to available information, long-acting inhalers with steroids + bronchodilators are intended for maintenance rather than rescue. Practo+1 My experience so far:

  • My night-time symptoms and morning tightness have reduced noticeably within ~4-5 weeks.

  • I had a brief episode of throat irritation and a tingle in my heart region (palpitations) early on, which the doc attributed to the formoterol component.

  • I consistently rinse my mouth after inhaling to reduce risk of oral thrush (seems to help). What I’m monitoring now:

  • Bone health (since inhaled steroids can affect bones over long-term). Practo

  • My blood sugar levels (since steroids can raise them in some people).

  • Ensuring I always have an independent rescue inhaler for sudden attacks. Would love to hear from others:

  • What has your long-term path looked like?

  • Any changes in side-effects over time?

  •  How frequently do you review your inhaler technique/prescription with your doctor?
