I get this 2 when I press on my lower abdomen I can feel movements (like a baby kicking, I've had 2) just latley I've been having a lot of lower abdominal pain followed by sickness, weight loss etc.. I've been checked for everything and all came out clear.. I'm thinking maybe this problem is due 2 small intestine (colon) I would go and see your GP and suggest he do a colonoscapy (mind the spelling) it may put ur mind a t rest, as for people commenting about worms go and get yourself some worming tablets if u think thts the problem if ur ar** aint itching its probs not the case!! There's probs no1 on this forum tht can help you but a doctor good luck!!! :)

Wow, this is so relieving to see so many people concerned and suffering from this. To all of those who keep suggesting that it is gas, STOP! All of us have had gas before, we know what it feels like! And often times after these feelings-there is no release of gas-therefore it was NOT gas. It feels like a baby kicking, others can feel it, it can be witnessed, etc. THAT IS NOT GAS.

The most common trend I'm seeing for diagnosis is IBS. I don't believe IBS is something you have, I believe it is just another form of damage to the gut from something whether it be an allergy, intolerance, leaky gut etc. that causes enough damage over the years to case permanent damage.

Here are similarities I've seen in the posts that are similar to mine:

I have PCOS

I had a baby 11 mos ago and these symptoms started about 3 months ago.

I have the feelings under my right side, under the ribcage and in my lower left abdomen.

I have been woken up at night from it.

Hip pain

Joint pain

Distended abdomen

Weight gain

Fatigued

I keep having dreams about something living inside me, it's unnerving! I'm freaking out a bit as well, trying to keep it together.

Now, something that did precede all of this was after the birth of my son almost 7 years ago, I had severe gall bladder attacks and then had my gall bladder removed. (center of the chest pain, back pain, right shoulder pain-these are all correlated with gall bladder issues) Had I known then what I know now, I would have never had my gall bladder removed. The problem starts in the liver, it's just picked up i the gall bladder malfunction. Your liver is actually where gallstones are made and where your bile is produced via the biliary system. Removing the gall bladder is just removing a part of the equation that works sometimes to get rid of the attacks. I had no issues after the removal, no bowel changes either until I became pregnant again. I then lost alot of my appetite and started to lose weight. I believe this may have triggered my liver into overdirve. I started suffering from gall bladder attacks again(same pain but with no gall bladder), diarrhea, immediate urge to void my bowels, incredible pain to the point of seeing spots and almost passing out, nausea, and an uncomfortable feeling I can't describe.

At around 20 weeks along, I gained an appetite back and started eating more and the attacks stopped. I still had dizziness, my blood pressure started to climb (this was never an issue before-even when pregnant), I then was constipated-the rest of my pregnancy was not easy. I had lots of pain in my hips which was unlike my last pregnancy and was fatigued the entire time. I gave birth to a huge baby 12+ pounds. After the birth I lost all of the "baby weight" in about 10 days. My son developed thrush and I developed a ductal fungal yeast infection. NOTHING was working to remove my son's thrush. I tried gentian violet -5 series of it, infant probiotics on the tongue, tea tree oil and oregano oil on his feet--then I went the medical route using Nystatin then Diflucan for 2 weeks-still present.

The lame GP recommended I keep my son on Diflucan indefinitely since it wasn't going away--but the Diflucan wasn't kicking it either. I called my Naturopath and he recommened I take and give my son Saccharomycees Boulardi Complex which is a beneficial yeast strain that kills off Candida Albicans-the yeast to blame for most fungal infections. Yay-my son's thrush was finally gone in 3 days and my ductal infection also went away, however....

I had the most horrible gas for the next week. My Naturopath told me that was the result of killing off the yeast. He said to take it for another week. After that I went off of it. The gas stopped but then I developed a rash all over many of my fingers on both hands. It made my skin flake, crack and bleed and would not go away. Band-aids seemed to make it spread. It started as a rash that looked like poison ivy-little clear fluid filled vesicles that then broke open. I used lotion, tea tree oil, coconut oil, wore gloves, etc.

Summer came and the rash finally died down but the gas returned for the next 4 or so months. I went back on the SBC and added a top quality probiotic-no change. Then I ran out and I stayed off of it. The gas went away about 2 months ago and the rash came back again. It is now mild and I'm taking just the probiotic. Oh and my anus did start itching about a week ago.

Googling the "rash that looks like poison ivy but isn't" yield a result of something called dyshidrotic dermatitis. It's caused by a systemic fungal infection and/or a metal allergy! Now I've never had a metal allergy before....so did I develop one or are people who have a systemic fungal infection with suffering "guts" just reacting to metal and other things since their guts are impaired for the time being?

The "phantom baby movement" started about 2 months ago. At first I dismissed it because my friend has liver cancer right now and I was feeling sensations, pushing, squirming etc. in my right upper quadrant, right under my ribcage for a few weeks. I thought my dreams and feelings were because of her. Until it woke me up one night and I felt it, and then felt "it" move away from my fingers when they probed. I woke up my husband and told him I had to see a Dr. soon as I must have a huge parasite! He dismissed me...we don't have insurance right now so I can't just pop into the ER plus I hate doctors-all they know how to do is treat symptoms and dismiss actual complaints from people, trying to fit you in a box as soon as they can!

I am going to see a Naturopath (new one) in a couple of weeks and I WILL post back to let you'all know what I find out. I trust her to listen to me and not to diagnose me with some BS intestinal issue. I don't know if any of what I've said above has helped you at all. But some guy on page 3 mentioned he had a fungal infection and had these symptoms and when that was treated, they resolved. My symptoms seem to match that more than anything else.....or it is a huge parasite.

After reading most of these posts, i did some research. I have felt the SAME way as many of you. 4 days ago, I went Gluten free. I feel a difference already!  Gluten allergies can come on through pregnancy, childbirth and surgery.  Ever since I had my son in Nov 2010, I have felt this way. This has to be it for me.  I'm not constipated anymore, i can pass gas without pain and suffering. I still feel little movement, like baby flutters, but I now know for sure, it's gas...because it's finally being released!  Try going gluten free for even a week and see if anything changes. There are so many gluten free products out there....it's not as hard as you think!!  Good luck everyone!

It all sounds like we have the same symptoms and nobody has an answer. I'm a 33 year old 6 foot 220 lb healthy and active male. My personal and and work life is fitness. I started feeling the same sensations in my lower intestines. The sensation was literally overnight. I initially thought it was due to heavy hip thrusts in my gym, thought maybe something got out of alignment down there. Not the case. There is no pain just a moving sensation. Today while waiting in the drive through Starbucks line in the car I literally felt my lower abdomen region move, like a baby kicking. I truly think it may be some fish I ate. Since fish consumes 60 percent of my diet I decided to change it up and give in to some "farm raised Tilapia" from indonesia, bought it at Costco. I do eat sushi and consume wild caught fish. After eating the Tilapia for a month the wierdness began. I'm sure everything was cooked thourougly. ,y wife and kids eat the same thing, I just consume 3x the amount they do. I also started to feel run down like my allergies kicked in. Had a dry cought, little bit of a runny nose and sensative stomach for the last week and a half or so. I started getting headaches as well. Really don't know what the hell is going on. I know my family physician will give me the uneducated bs answer like its IBS or categorize me In a general situation that they learned back in med school. I think we all need to be proactive about this, see a GI doc, get are colons examed etc. im going in for the full on colonoscopy treatment at the hospital. At this point it is what it is for all of us at this point. No reason to get depressed, it will only do us more harm and not benefit our body's (even though it's tough). For the record I have passed at 12 inch roundworm while living abroad in Bolivia when I was 20 yrs old.. I got some unknown pills from a higher up (who was American) . Told me you can't get this in the states. Apparently the stuff is stong and can be only used once every 6 months. Took the pills and the next bowel movement came out a worm. I didn't have a clue I had one at the time. Took the other pack of pills they gave me a year later when I got to Miami and nothing on that round. That will mess with your head. Who knows, if I get the answer I will post again.

I have the same symptoms. 36 year old 108lb female with 2 kids. I work out everyday and it seems to get worse if I do stomach crunches. My right abdominal quadrant area seems to be hardened too. It feels like something is moving around under my ribs and lower abdominal area. I am seeing a internal medicine doc this week. I am wondering if I could have a hernia. I will post whatever I find out.

Please, come on guys. It's just IBS (and a very common symptom of IBS). No one has an alien living in their guts.

I agree. Saw the internal medicine doc and IBS and stress combo can trigger the symptoms. More importantly, after your brain makes this connection (gastrointestinal to mind digestive symptoms), you will start to notice the "alien-like" symptoms. Also, you may be gassy the day after you have these symptoms. My doctor did full blood work on me and all clear. Just IBS.

IBS is a broad term that defines no particular disorder of the intestinal tract. IBS is BS! There IS an underlying problem causing these symptoms. I've already found out through allergy testing that I can't have dairy and since I've cut that out, some of my symptoms have gotten better. Waiting for more testing to figure out more and how to heal my gut...gut issues need to be figured out and healed...not just have the symptoms masked with medication!

I just wanted to respond that after seeing my Naturopath, she concurred that they are spasms of the intestinal tract. She said that spasms usually do not occur in people with healthy guts, that's why it feels so abnormal. Since I cut out dairy, the "movements" have not returned. I also had a full allergy workup to which gluten, soy, dairy, cahsews, walnuts, almonds, broccoli, peas, brewer's yeast, etc. (there were ALOT) all came back positive. The majority of these are not fixed allergies but sensitivities. Sensitivities are caused by gut damage. The only way to cure the gut is to cut out all offending foods, add in things to help heal the gut in the meantime, and then introduce foods back in one a week after an initial 6 week elimination. I'm on week 2 of the elimination and I'll let you know how it's all going. I don't feel any different other than the "movements" going away but I have lost 5 pounds-so yay for that!

I suggest getting a colon cleanse. It's a good way to get rid of parasites and just clean everything out. Don't let your mind take over. It is very powerful and can make you feel more than necessary.
