Yesterday, I suddenly got a sore throat when I woke up. I took some ibuprofen and the pain relieved a bit. Later in the day, it came back, so I took some neurofen and the pain was relieved again. But today, it hurts so much. It hurts to swallow, open my mouth too wide, yawn, eat, drink, and is just a constant pain. When I eat, it feels like it is burning too. I put my hand to the back of my mouth to see if anything is there, and there felt like a small lump. But I don't no if it's normal or not. It was at the back of my throat, in line with my tongue. It hurts to touch it after, but it feels normal and like the pain is a bit lower than that. I took ibuprofen this morning and neurofen early in the evening, but neither did anything at all. I can't see anything like an swelling or white spots (like tonsillitis). It is just always there and feels like there is a lump that is getting bigger, and bigger. Can anyone tell me what it is? Or could be? The doctors near me isn't the best when it comes to booking appointments, so I'd rather see if there is anything I can do at home first. I'm 15, haven't smoked or taken drugs. Please help?

You probably accidentally swallowed something like an insect. I had swallowed a grasshopper and I felt like that too, you have to eat meat, like stake = something hard, and it will help because its going down. and drink a lot of water too incase you choke.

i had it too when i was 12 and well my doctor said that either i hurt myself eating. meaning that when i was chewing something i most likely caught something pointy in my meat causing the bump. or which was my case that when throwing up i opened my throat to wide causing the bump. so my doctor said to drink alot of water
