Lump on eyebrow

My 8 year old son is having surgery for this tomorrow it is a Dermoid Cyst. You should have it surgically removed. If left untreated it can become cancerous. It is a slim chance but why take that chance?? We monitored his per his peditrician for 8 months, once it started to hurt him, we made the decision to have it removed.

mine is kinda like tht i had mine for 3 years im 11 now and it hurts when try to mess with i dont like doctors im a wuss how do i get it off with out a doctor? its sometime mushy but most of the time its hard what should i do my mom hates it when i mess with it she said if i keep messing with it ill go to the octor so ill try to stop i stoped for a long time but today it just hurt like hell

I have the exact same thing! Iv just been to my doctors and she suggested it was a sist and then I saw another doctor who said it was just tissue! I don't know who to believe and oi just want it to be removed as I don't know what it is. Some of my eyebrow has dissapeared also. Since this was such a long time ago you posted about this, what happened about it? Thanks.

My daughter has an unsightly lump at the end of her right eyebrow. She was told it's bone growth; only option being surgery- so a scar is inevitable. I wonder if calcium supplements would help.

Hi thier My son is only 2 months of age and he has had the same lump appear on his brow. We had been consulted by a fully experienced doctor in Royal London Hospital but don't feel satisfied with what they said. They said it can take years to disappear. We are trying to gain more information from other experts but it is the same answer. If I do find out somthing I will try to post it as soon as but I or the doctor's recommend not to aggravate it. Hope it goes soon. Good luck

I just had a cyst on my eyebrow removed today as it started to grow. I only got one stitch and am glad it's gone. It also was non cancerous. If it bothers you get it removed

Hi my husband had a lump on his eyebrow,and had it removed on thursday,this morning he woke up with a very bruised eye and a very swollen eye I wonder if that's normal,,I presume from working on it,will see doc on monday,he says it was fatty tissue

To those with lumps or bumps on eyebrow: it's most likely a cyst formed from infection in an eyebrow hair follicle, especially if you've had it a while and it comes up and down periodically. I've discovered these aren't so rare. The cyst might need removing by a plastic surgeon. It could also be that the cyst itself goes but leaves a hard lump of scar tissue behind.

I've just had this removed myself. I had 3 stitches to close it, skin a bit puffy around it and eyelid for a few days. No bruising though. If it stays puffy after 3 days I think you should contact health practitioner in case of possible infection.

Whether a cyst or scar tissue left over from a cyst, you could have it removed under a local anaesthetic. I've just had this done and feel better for it - looking forward to eyebrow growing back soon I hope.

I have the same lump in my left eyelid, it is colorless and doesn't hurt like you have described- I have it for a year now and I went to eye surgeon and had it removed just last Tuesday. The doctor said that the healing process will take 2 weeks. I just hope and pray that it will not leave scar on my eyelid.

I started with a lump below my eyebrow and had all the tests and they weren't sure so they did a biopsy and still not sure so I have to have surgery to take it out . since then two more have come up on my face?? Concerned as it's going to scar..but more so because no one can diagnose it.
