Hi, if you have a regular period cycle of 28 days then you should be ok as your fertile point will be around day 12 to day 16 but the thing to also remember is that sperm can survive for around 5 days once inside the vagina waiting for the egg to be released, even though the other times are relatively safe advisable to have any kind of unprotected sex. The main reason condoms break during intercourse is because lack or care when putting them on and not squeezing the end to get rid of any trapped air.
