Of course it can! It helps me a lot. Here are instructions. Sit comfortably, with your eyes closed and your spine reasonably straight, just direct your attention to your breathing. All thoughts, emotions, physical feelings or external sounds that occur, simply accept t, giving them the space to come and go without judging or getting involved with them….just keep bringing your attention back to your breathing. There are lots of benefits beside obvious stress reduction; it helps you maintaining your calm inner awareness, balance and clarity in the midst of any situation.
