miscarriage and hcg levels go back up can I still be pregnan

14 days ago i had to have surgery for an ectopic preganancy but still feel nauseous and have an upset stomach and my breast are tender at times, after reading all this stories i'm wondering is this still normal????

i have the same this i misscaride a week and a half ago my thinking is fogy and my Hg leaves are 26 as a week ago and my brests hurt agean! i have a test agean in 2 days

I am going through the samething right now.... I began passing clots on saturday then i wouldnt realy say i was bleeding cu i never soaked any pads just would be blood in toliet went i went to the bathroom... I did have some minor cramping in my abdomen and lower back.. Tuesday i had my levels checked and they were at 245. I have signs of being pregnant off and on. Went this morning to take second blood test just waiting for results now.... I did take a pg test last night and it was still positive...

I tested positive on a clear blue test sep 1. my last period was july 22nd. i went in for my 10 week appointment on oct 1 and the pee test came back negative. the doctor told me that i had miscarried or had a chemical pregnancy. i still feel pregnant though. i asked her to do an sono just to make sure and she wouldnt. she wouldnt even do a blood test because she said they would be a waste of time and money. should i get a second opinion? i still havent had a period and any bleeding at all and still have signs that im pregnant. any thoughts would  be greatly appreciated

Hi all, i was told tuesday i had miscarried at about 7 wks,they did bloods then hgc levels of 1500 then they did them yesterday 2 days later and there 2300, im going in tomorrow with the hope that there still going up but , but the bleeding was massive the first 2 days its slowed now and no more clots but could i still really be pregnant?? clinging to the hope that i lost on of 2 babies as im a twin, my dads a twin and my husband has twin brothers. My emotions are all over the place wish i just knew whats happening

So sorry to hear about your troubles. What was the result? I am experiencing same thing. :( was only spotting until vaginal ultrasound but hcg was lower than they thought it should be. But took home test today and it was darker than all other tests I've taken and bleeding has almost stopped. I would be around 4-5 weeks. I don't want to get my hopes up- in fact I've pretty much accepted the miscarriage (my 2nd) and I'd rather find a miracle if not a miscarriage but what was your story's end?

Hcg went from 85 to 229 in 48 hrs. Bleeding slowed. Totally confused now and can't k kw anything for sure until far enough along to detect with u/s. (can't KNOW)

I am going through the same thing most of the women here are.  I found out I was pregnant the same day that I am pretty sure that I miscarried.  I have such irregular periods that I can't say for certain when the last regular period was.  On 12/10 I had some brown discharge and assumed I was getting my period.  On Friday 12/14 I woke up with severe pain in my left side of my abdomen.  Very strong cramps, I also started spotting.  I still assumed I was getting my period.  Later that day I passed a large clot and became concerned.  That night I took a pregnancy test and it was positive.  The next day I was still spotting so I went to urgent care.  They did an hcg level test and confirmed I was pregnant but that is all they could tell me.  My level then was 111.  Two days later they retested and it was 92, two days later 71 and today a week later 60.  I had completely stopped bleeding and was having no pain until Christmas eve.  I then got mild cramping and started spotting again.  Starting late yesterday I started bleeding heavily bright red blood.  I am 36 and this is my first pregnancy and m/c.  I am worried about a tubal pregnancy or other issues.  Does this seem like a normal rate for my hcg to drop?  How soon do you start to ovulate again after something like this?  I have not had any scans or ultrasounds and am wondering if that is going to be the next step.  On doctor told me it should only take a week for the level to drop below five and I'm not even close to 5 and this has been going on for over two weeks.  Any advice or similar situations.  I did have sex once the bleeding stopped as my first doctor said I could start trying right away again, however, the next doctor said I needed to wait until after my level was below 5.  I am nervous and on information overload.  My breasts are tender and I am exhausted but from what I've been told there is no chance for a viable pregnancy with my levels dropping even if they are dropping slowly.  Thanks for listening.

I am going thru the same as alot of you ladys also, I found out on the 15/12/2012 that I was preganant (No:6) on the 23/12/2012 I started spotting, 24/12/2012 I bleed about 1/4 a pad a day, I had one large clot that day also bleeding that same amount lasted 7 days an it was off an on all tthat time on the 27/12/2012 had HCG levels taken and was checked at ER the Doc said levels are between 3 weeks to 6 weeks that they can fit any where in that range, also was told Cervix was closed. On the 31/12/2012 had another HCG blood levels checked they rang me today 04/01/2013 saying that my levels have dropped, when asked by how much she didnt say just saying you would have expected that and that I have had a miscarrage, I go again for bloods on the 7/01/2013.

I am wondering as twins do run in my family, I have had bleeding with two previous children one at 8 weeks which was similar and the other at 11 weeks which was heavy as if I had wet my pants, both were meant to be twins, both I lost one twin but carried full term with the other. I have informed the hospital but they believe they know best.

So have I really lost this baby I have asked for a scan an they refused. At the moment the hospital are monitoring my blood levels weekly until they return to normal.Has anyone had this experience and still had a baby or have I lost this baby, the hospital dont seem concerned with any of my concerns have spoken with others an they usally monitor HCG levels every 24/48 hours but with me every week?      

I know I have had alot of children an each child is different. Please any advice would be much appreciated.

my cousin was pregnant with twins....she was told she was pregnant with one fetus and her levels dropped and they said she lost the baby...she lost one of the twins and 8 months later had the other healthy....nothing happened in between where she could have just got pregnant again...i am sure you know for sure by now gl

hi my name is bec and i have had so much happen to me over the past week and a half i went in for what i thought was a normal everyday scan to see the baby wrong the lady who did my ultrasound told me that the baby had no heart beat and did not make any progress so it was deemed a non viable pregnancy  my HCG levels where very high 42800 so i left very upset and though ok maybe the baby did not make it i was then sent to the hospital to get another blood test done they sent my doctor the results and they where not good it had drop to 3500 so i was sure i lost my baby i cried for two days thinking i had lost it then on the second day i reseve a phone call stating i am very sorry but the hospital had sent you the wrong results your HCG levels are actually normal at 58000 so can any one tell me what the hell is going on?.. does this mean that she was wrong and baby could be happy an healthy as i am now to scared to go for another ultrasound ? ant help would be great and has this happened to you...

Hi I'm having the same issue but I'm not bleeding just small pain and nausea. I have all the symptoms of pregnancy still and I'm supposed to be 12 weeks Friday, the Dr told me my baby died at 6 weeks and my sac stopped growing at 8 weeks but I'm still growing. They said they cannot hear the baby's heartbeats and that its dead. But my intuition says they are wrong. Went to the er and they said its a threatened miscarriage but took my hormone levels and told me to call tomorrow.. should I try to go back and retest or 2nd opinion this is my first baby and I've had a normal pregnancy up until now. I thought I was having twins but no heartbeat detected.. I'm scared

I am playing the waiting game to! I found out I was pregnant on April 19th accourding to doctors I was 4 weeks preg. I started spoting the following wednesday. They had me do HGC Blood test 2 within 24 hours one was 11,000 the other 13,500, Did an ultasound they said they could see a sac but to early to see a baby, they also said they saw something behind it. then took a third blood test a day later and was down to 2,444.on 4/26 Doctor said I was misscarying. Today is now 4/30 and nothing has happened! I feel the same no symptoms except sore boobs and hard bloated stomach! Doctor wanted me to take pill or do a DNC to get it out! I dont want to until I have another ultrasound! One low HCG test isnt enough evidence for me! Am I just being stupid and am in denial?

I just went through something very similar to what is written on this page.  I miscarried but two weeks later still felt crappy!  So, I made a follow-up appointment with my doctor.  He said he felt the body should have taken care of everything on its own but there was a medicine he could prescribe to help clean everything out.  It was on a Friday and I told him my in-laws were coming into town for my daughter's birthday so he said I probably wouldn't want to deal with the medicine and its affects over the weekend.  So, he ordered an ultrasound for the following Monday to see "what was left" and "what needed to be done."  Well, we found a baby with a heartbeat!  I was 8 weeks pregnant.  If I had taken that medicine I could have blindly aborted my baby.  The thought of this is very upsetting.  At any rate, I see that many of you have commented about your dr. saying to "go natural."  Thank God your doctor's recommended this! 

 

I guess it is possible that I miscarried a twin but there is no way to say that conclusively.  I can say, confidently now though that I am 9 and 1/2 weeks pregnant and thrilled! 

I'm going through. The same thing right now..i had jus to go to the er on may 10 due to bleeding they ran all test on me said i was 5weeks said they coulndt find any thing wrong with me that all was gud they saw something elts but they was not sure of what it was they assured me that i would have a healthy full term baby the next day i was crampig and bleeding heavy around 730.that evening i went to the bathroom where i belive i past my baby.. im still having all the sumptoms of beaing pregnate yeat im still bleeding could ive been pregnant with twins an lost one or was that not the baby that passed...could some one help me im so confused. I took a nother pt an it was positive it came right up britte as ever,could i still be pregnant??
