The girlie and I went to see this feature film by National Geographic.
It starts at the end of summer in Antartica when it's a balmy 58 degrees BELOW zero and the Emperor penguins begin their migration to their breeding grounds during the harshest winters on Earth at the South Pole.
The penguins are cute, the narrator is outstanding (Morgan Freeman), the scenery is beautiful and nasty at the same time, and there is a little suspense, a little sadness, a little boredom and plenty of joy.
I enjoyed it and the girlie liked it, but had questions about why they had to die and it saddened her. There were plenty of awwws and chuckles from adults and children alike.
If you like animals, you would enjoy this film.

I really want to see this! If you want another National Geographic style movie (was this one actually financed by NG?), check out "Winged Migration", though there is much less narration.
The credits credited National Geographic Feature Films.
I did not know that. I knew that it was a french documentary that had the narration completely revamped, but that's about it.
Running Circles: I think it is currently playing in 2000 screens across the U.S., so it shouldn't be hard to find for people south of the border. I couldn't say for Canada. If you are by an AMC theatre, you might check there.
