MRI imaging is often used to evaluate individuals with these symptoms and can be used to diagnose the location of the tethering if there is one. So you shouldn’t lose your mind and don’t panic! If doctor had suggested it the only thing you can do is to do it and wait for the results.

Since it has been a while from the time you have posted this question I believe that by now you have all the answers so do you care to share with us? Thank you in advance.
