49 year old female, not over weight, very active, not depressed, 8 year remission from bi-lateral breast cancer, health good until last 8 months: very sick in morning upon rising (not pregnant), then levels off, severe joint pain in all areas, loss of feeling on back of hands and backside of arms, legs and feet. Tingle sensation in arms, electric shock feeling in hands when pushing cart. Dry eyes and mouth. My oncologist says there is no evidence the cancer has returned according to tests. What could be causing these symptoms?

Many disease conditions can cause the symptoms you are experiencing. The followings are some of my guesses. Severe joint pain and feelings of malaise are symptoms of arthritis. Try some otc anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin to see if it helps. Test your blood glucose over the course of the day to rule out diabetes (dry mouth, peripheral neuropathy). Get your blood tested for B12 deficiency.
