My daughter was in a car accident in Oct 20, 2008. She was a passanger, in a grand pre 2001, they hit a tree head on. It was a very serious accident. Since then she has had a mri and many doctors appt and rehab. Her left hip swells up and goes numb and she has terrific pain in this area. Each specialist gives us a different conclusion. As a mom I'm very concern. Any physical activity like walking the mail or sitting on poition for any period of time hurts her. She is 16 and weighs about 110 lbs. They have her on pain killers and inflamtion pills. She has seen a bio mechanic physical therapist, which they stated her left pelvic bone was about 1 1/2 inch half off. After a month of theraphy and swelling everytime after, this said they couldn't help her. Then her primary doctor sent her to the pain clinic and they stated it was the pelvic bone joint was damaged and gave her trigger point shots. This made it really worse, they decide to give her patches. They sent her to a nerve doctor who only talked to her and did no testing and stated he would have to send her to a nerogist specialist. This was in November we never heard anything from them. I'm very frustrated due to the fact her primary said it was physiologcal. But if this was the case she would not be swelling with no feeling in her leg. I'm not sure which way to go from this point. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you Sue
