I was 23 when I had EA. I was not informed by my doctor who is now retired that I could not have a another child. I was told it was a better more long term alternative to iud to help with long and heavy periods. Well my iud worked better than the ablation. I still have had periods and pain just a few less days a month. Here 6 years later I talked to my new obgyn. She sent me for several tests/ultrasounds including a sonohystogram and has given me the okay to try and conceive. We are charting ovulation and will be trying in the next couple of months. I feel better now that my doctor is on board and says I look good. Maybe it wasn't done correctly but I have had a regular 28 day cycle after EA. Talk to your doctor and insist on tests to see what you are actually working with.
