Hi I have had this THD opp done on Thursday, after suffering over 20 years with piles, and having injection and banding done, still getting very bad pain and bleeding thought I would give this a go. So far post opp is really good, no bleeding only a little discomfort due to pressure when needing to pass stools . But as long as you sit and relax when going and don't strain even that ain't bad, I am going back to work tomorrow which is good as I only had it done Thursday afternoon .

Doc/THD here again, day 10. Days 9 and 10 are still painful secondary to external hemorrhoid making it hard to sit or stand or walk, but pain from procedure seems to be gone, and BMs a little more surviveable. No sig pain after BMs now. Passing gas w/o any blood or minor discharge etc. If it were not for external thrombosed hemorrhoid, I could have returned to work today. I am still taking Aspirin around the clock, and occasional tylenol, and one 5/325 percocet at bedtime to calm every thing down so I can sleep. Still depressed about duration of recovery, but at least I can relax, watch TV etc in relative comfort.

Doc/THD again, Tues, day 11. External hemorrhoid still enlarged, but pain lessening. BMs still painful but tolerable. Less pain after BMs now. Occasional blood still when passing gas or having BM, but minimal. Still having on and off anal cramps that last a couple seconds and come 3-4 times an hour or less. Pain is getting less with these cramps though. Still not back to work yet. Looks like several more days needed before I go out of house for more than half hr.

Doc/THD day 12. Had BM this am that was more painful. 2-4/10 pain all day after that. Been back in bed most of day again. This is very discouraging. External hemmorhoid still main source of pain, and few anal spasms etc. Still on ASA and tylenol, colace.

Doc/THD again, day 15, doing better, no more constant pain, but daily BM a knuckle biter still, though a quick dip in tub relieves that immediately. On only celebrex to keep inflammation at bay, but external hemorrhoids calming down now, still enlarged but not sig painful. Days 11-14 were gradual improvements, will be able to go back to work Monday, day 16. Probably could go today, but its Saturday! Still have some occasional discharge down there, but not bad. But it comes with little warning or sensation. Have gone back to a more normal diet as the fiber was too much. Two BMs a day were waring on me. Still on colace twice daily though.

Doc/THD again, 8/2/16, one month out. No pain meds for few weeks, went back to work after two weeks. BMs still with little blood about every third time, one BM per day. No sig pain, but slight occasional discomfort when sitting a certain way. Main complaint is the chronic discharge. Yellowish, and even at work, I have to go to restroom about once every 1.5 hrs to wipe. Using a pad to avoid soiling underwear, but so far pad generally not getting soiled much. Still have to get in tub for few min after BMs, mainly to clean up. So far seems to have gotten rid of prolapsed rhoids. External one that I got on day seven has shrunk to 1/4 whatbit was.
