My husband for the past three years more recent in the last 6 months has had severe pain in his stomach. We always thought it was acid reflux or indigestion. He is 40 years old and has diabeties. Last week he went to the er for the pain and he ended up in the hospital. The doctor did an ERCP and cut a hole to help drain the fluids correctly. If this does not work they want to put a stent in, so far I have read everyone who has a stent has to go back 1-2 months to have the stent replaced, but every time you go in you aggrevate the pancreas. He is on pain meds food he has not eaten he tried to eat a piece of bread it hurt, he has not had a diet soda or an energy drink his favorites, and the day he went into the hospital was the day he went cold turkey on smoking after 30 years. The only thing that seems to work is the broth, diet tea, and water. My baby the love of my life is in pain and can't eat he has not gotten frustrated yet, but I know him it's coming and I want to be preapared as possible The doctor told him no stress or it could become very serious. If there is anyone who has had stents and would like to share please do. I really don't want him to go through it if he is still going to have the same pain.
