I had my surgery 11/21/06. Just found this forum investigating when the pain actually goes away. Surgeon said full recovery in 2 weeks. HHHHHHAAAAAHHHHAAAAAA. Actually i guess I am about 60-70% there. I just want to know when that constant throbbing, cutting with a knife, aching feeling goes away. Everyday it feels better but it is sooooooo slooooooow.

I had vomiting with Loritabs (hydrocodone tabs) had to switch to darvoset and that helped the next day. Altho I tried to tough the pain out. Dumb. Needed compazene to control vomiting . Thank goodness no suppositories for that :-). Then I got chest cough from virus too and had trouble clearing lungs from constant laying down...that was fun. No prob sleeping.

I swear, the hot water baths help. Have had NO Bleeding with BM's, but could pass out from the pain. It doesn't hurt during, but afterwards, whew. And when i get the "REAL" urge to go i better go. Most of the time there is a lot of pressure from gas from the Citrucel, I can't tell if it's BM or gas, so I feel like I have to go all the time, until that overwhelming urge comes and no holding back! I miss spicy indian food.

Had internal stapled and external piles, more like sacks, cut and sutured.
Would I recommend it???????? Heck NO> But a lifetime of itching a burning, showers after dumps to push prolapsed back in and clean up the irritated mess, pales by comparison to several months of excruciating pain.

Think about it.

By the way. the gal who wrote her physician should have gotten a signed receipt from the post office...that way you know HE got it!
