What exactly is naturopathy? I heard that it is based on a principle of individual treatment and I am very interested because it sounds like a logical approach. Are there any scientific studies on naturopathy and does anyone have any knowledge and experience in this field? I would really like to know more...

I don’t have any experience myself but I read something about naturopathy. It respects holistic philosophy of health. It means that physical and mental components of life have to be in balance in order to maintain health. Naturopathy encourages body to heal itself with the help of natural remedies and it propagates usage of herbs and food instead of synthetic products in treatment.

The very important element of naturopathy is that a person is examined as a system in whole, not only its parts. That means that naturopath is prescribing medicines that are meant only for that particular person. The choice of remedies depends on person's physical and mental condition. Some physical problems are caused by bad mental condition, like grief after divorce and in that case, naturopath will try to cure person's soul as well as the body.
