Last year I woke up and couldn't move my left hand and my wrist was limp. I went to the hospital and they thought I was having a stroke. I was in the hospital for about a week and they came to the conclusion that it was neurological issues and they discharged me on the fact that I would immediately make an appt with a neurologist. Well, turns out I was pregnant and couldn't do any further testing.
I thought it was just something odd to due with pregnancy so I let it go. I also have Factor V Leiden if that makes a difference.
About 6 months ago I started having odd uncontrolleble muscle movements. My face, arms, legs, neck. Pretty much every muscle group would jerk or strain. It caused severe muscle pain, vomiting and horrible grinding of my teeth. Also, it seemed to get worse at night or after I ate a meal. The conditions were manageable for a couple weeks until it became every day and non stop so I went to the ER. They said that I needed to see a neurologist and to take my Valium. Maybe it had to do with my nerves. Taking my Valium did help very much.
I saw a neurologist, 3 actually because 2 just wrote me off, and they did an MRI of my brain. I have 1 5mm spot, which isn't caused by any prior trauma.
When I went to see the neurologist my symptoms stopped all of a sudden a couple days before. One might they were just gone.
It has been a few months and now my symptoms are back. The only thing I'm not experiencing is the nauseau, but I'm worried that it's coming since they are getting worse nightly.
I have an appt with a neurologist that specializes in movement disorders next month. The radiologist recommended they do an EEG but they didn't think it was necessary.
Does anyone know what could be going on?
Anyone have similar things ever happened? I was told possible MS but they aren't sure.
Thank you
