So you will want to wait to start until after your period. Remember after you start for about the first week you will need to use a different form of contraceptive, such as condoms until your birth control takes effect.
Starting in the middle of your cycle is confusing to your body and will not know what to do. Important to wait until after your period. More effective this way.
