I have been dealing with symptoms of a yeast infection for over a year. I have had many cultures done that come back negative. I have also been dealing with high stress levels.
Any thoughts on what else I could be dealing with?

I’m not sure if your doctors have looked into possibility that there may be some bacteria that is causing the infection, rather than the yeast. It happens that bacteria which are normally present in the vagina for one reason or another start to overproduce, upsetting the natural balance of your vaginal area. Doctors actually don't know exactly why these bacterial overgrowths develop sometimes, but some kind of activities, like as unprotected sexual intercourse or frequent douching, can mean a higher risk for this condition. Even some medications, like antibiotics can disturb the balance of your vaginal area. Maybe you should try some probiotic supplement – they have worked for some women with similar problems.

Thank you for your thoughts and I really appreciate the fast response. My doctor has checked for bacteria and again it is a negative. I have also upped my yogurt intake and added the probiotics. I have tried the over the counter PH balance medication and suppliments and Still no relief.

Have you been taking antibiotics recently? They do cause this kind of thing - for me they have, at least and really, similar to you - it gets better for a while, but it comes back and I don't know, maybe the stress is the thing behind this, I'll research some more on that and let you know. Likewise, if you find something that helps, let me know, 'cause I've tried all you mentioned - yogurt, probiotics...
