I can't sort through this endless list of topics and I see no way to drill into this subject so I am starting a (new?) thread specifically about legal action. I note one reply in 2013 here that says FDA classified Novasure as a medical device III or something and is therefore immune from lawsuit. However, on another webpage I find a lawyer reporting on a failed lawsuit filed by a Mississippi woman against Novasure in Massachusetts that was denied on the grounds of having passed the statute of limitations. I feel that a responsible lawyer who took the case should have been aware of that; I'm not sure if I understood that he represented her or if he's just reporting on this failed lawsuit in response to somebody.
In case it varies by state and in case there's a way to sue practitioners or the Medical Association of OB/Gyn or some way to take action, including, establishing precedent by taking the lawsuit higher, I am motivated and interested to do so.
Please respond if you have similar interest and legitimate concerns.
Please DO NOT respond to vent about your complaints. I'm not interested in referrals to support groups or hearing about all our shared misery. I want to take an action after now 8 years of PAS and no serious input from multiple GYN providers over the years. It hasn't just gone away and what I'm experiencing is not dismissable - though providers do dismiss it after ultrasounds and other tests that don't reveal what they are looking for and don't provide answers.
I strongly believe that there are creative lawyers who won't stop, and that there is strength in numbers. Laws can be changed through lawsuits and other actions - it happens all the time. Don't waste your time or mine if you have resolved to accept this. Thank you.
