On and off I have numb hands and they turn purple. I also have had a reoccuring pain in my fore arm. Hands are always cold.

I can tell you for the past week, i have had intermittent pain (daily) in my left arm (elbow down to fingers). Also tingling and numbness and lack of strength. I am 69 year old retired healthy female. Doctor believes it may be circulatory coupled with a lack of activity and suggested 20 minutes heat/20 minutes cold and tylenol. This does help but I will get full workup. Good luck...having diabetes is more of a concern with hand/arm pain. carole
