I'm replying to my own post here. A week after stopping the Doxy my symptoms of cold hands completely went away. As I said above the tingling went away pretty fast. The key here is to STOP taking the Doxy if your hand start tingling. Pretty scary when you need an antibiotic for a good reason, and you have to stop taking it. I would say it depends on what you're taking it for, which is worse? is the ailment you have worse than the tingling in the hands? Talk to your doctor, of course, if you can even get through to him/her. My hands started tingling on a Saturday so there was no way for me to call anyone, so I made the decision on my own to stop. Also it was day 12 of 14 so it was pretty safe for me to stop in my opinion. The doctor didn't have much to say about it, but he did agree that I did the right thing by stopping. Doctors do not like to hear you've had a problem with a medication. Frankly in my experience it's not in their training to handle that situation well.

Its happening to me as well, I work outside, and the 5th day of medication, pins and needles in my hands. Warm water makes my hands feel like they are frost bit.

I wrote here before about this. It's been months now. My hands, mostly the area between my thumbs and my fingers, still feel cold and have that tingling when I wash my hands. It's nerve damage. I've told my doctors and my pharmacist I can't use that antibiotic anymore.

I am experiencing the same thing right now. I am on my last day of doxycycline. I noticed this morning that every time my hands are exposed to water they start tingling and it lasts for about 10 min. Glad to see if am not alone with this side effect. Feel better.

I have been on doxy for 2 weeks now .. Went out side yesterday morning and worked for about three hours .. Didn't think about the sun . Got pretty dirty so as soon as I came in , I washed my hands . I can only describe the feeling as when your hands get really cold and you run water over them ... Pins and needles feeling .... I took a shower a few hours later and felt same thing but not as bad . Later yesterday evening , my hands just started burning while I was sitting at my desk working .. This time my legs and feet started to burn and tingle as well . It got so bad that I went to the ER thinking I was haven for a stroke or something .. They found nothing wrong with me and ER doc said stop the doxy . I hope this helps someone else .. I've been pretty scared about it and I'm a 48 year old Cop who doesn't get scared about much . I'll send a prayer up for everyone !!!

I'm so glad to find this. I have had the same issue and thought it seemed weird. I've been on doxy 100mg oral twice a day. This is day 14 of treatment and my hands feel tingly and like they are on fire. Hopefully this will go away when I stop the medication.

If you are experiencing such side effects it's really recommended you stop the meds. God forbid new and even more scary things develop.

I am going through the exact same thing right now. Been on it almost 7 days and the last 3 days I have been in sun and tingly on top of hands. It's weird they feel like they go from cold to hot but the pins and needles feel strange. It doesn't hurt but it's super weird feeling.

I'm also currently taking doxycycline. I also have been experiencing the tingling in my arms and hands also almost feels like pins and needles. I was told by a friend that could be from the medication. I haven't said nothing to my doctor yet.
